How to import data from Google Workspace?

Importing data from Google Workspace is essential in order for BulkSignature to work. It allows your employee details to the BulkSignature app for further use in email signatures.

How to import data from Google Workspace?

When you first log in, you will be directed to the Company Data tab automatically.

To start importing, simply click the Import Now button.



The Import Now button runs in the background, so if there are many active users in the Google Admin Console, it may take some time to import all of them.

In that case, you can click the Import Now button and continue exploring other features.

As new employees are imported, the user list in Company Data will be updated in real time.

NOTE: Changes to user details in BulkSignature will not sync back to the Google Workspace Admin Console. Importing is a one way action that only gets data.

Automated Importing

To update user information in BulkSignature, go to Company Data > Company User and follow these steps:

  1. Go to Company Data > Company User.

  2. Click to chosen section to update the details of the user.

  3. Notice the icon change to Locked (🔒) to protect your manual entry.

    How User Data Management Works

    We use a "Lock/Unlock" system to control where your data comes from:

    • Unlocked (🔓): Data is synced automatically from Google Workspace. Use this to keep information consistent with your corporate directory.

    • Locked (🔒): This mode activates automatically when you manually edit a field in the BulkSignature app. It prevents Google Workspace from overwriting your custom changes.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.


    Do I need to name this part?


    To update user information, click the import now button after changes in the Google Workspace Admin Console or enable automatic import in Settings;


    Step 1. Go to Settings in BulkSignature.

    Step 2. Click General Settings.

    Step 3. Enable Import users automatically on toggle next to the feature.


NOTE: Changes may take a few hours to appear in the API after updates in the Google Workspace Admin Console.


Google Workspace reserves 24 hours for the API to get updated.

If you make changes and immediately press the Import Now button, the employees' new details will not be updated because the changes haven't been implemented in the API yet.
